This 7 Day Vic Falls and Kruger Overland Tour offers you the best highlights of South Africa, Zimbabwe and Zambia. It is ideal for travellers with limited time and who would like to see as much as possible. It is also a great add-on for one of our Cape to Livingstone or Nairobi to Livingstone overland tours. Starting at the mighty Victoria Falls on the Zambian side, in the town of Livingstone, you will cross the famous Victoria falls bridge and enter into Zimbabwe. From there we travel South to Bulawayo and then Matobo National Park for some game drives. We carry on South and cross the border into South Africa and to the hot springs of Tshipise for some relaxation. Next it’s off to the world renowned Kruger National Park to search for the big five and other wildlife found in the park. Finally, we head to Johannesburg where this tour comes to an end.

7 Day Vic Falls and Kruger Overland Tour

Day 1

Livingston

The first day of your trip is spent exploring Livingston. Visit the famous Victoria falls, have a chance to spend the day with locals and learn about their culture or dare to take on one of the many adrenalin activities like Bungee Jumping or White water rafting on the Zambezi river.

Day 2

Livingston – Bulawayo, Zimbabwe

Today we depart Zambia by crossing over the Victoria Falls Bridge into Zimbabwe. The bridge offers breath taking views of the water as it falls into the Batoka Gorge. After passing through the immigration at the border post we head to our next stop, Bulawayo. Our camp will be just outside of Matopos with scenes of its beautiful granite boulders all round

Day 3

Matobo National park, Zimbabwe

We are accompanied by local guides into this amazing national park where we will have the chance to view game such as rhino, Black Eagles or leopards in their natural habitat. This park boasts the largest concentration of both White and Black Rhino in the world. The Matobo Hills are historically famous for their Bushman Paintings as well as being the final resting place of Cecil John Rhodes.

Day 4

Matobo National park – Tshipise, South Africa

Today we say good bye to Zimbabwe and head South toward South Africa. The Limpopo River forms a natural border between South Africa and Zimbabwe. Once border crossing formalities are done, we cross the river into South Africa and head towards our next stop, Tshipise. Our camp sits next to the Honnet Nature Reserve which boast hot springs as well as one of the biggest Baobab trees in the world.

Day 5

Tshipise – Hazyview

As we depart Tshipise, we head further South towards the Greater Kruger area. Many years ago the fences between Kruger National Park and the surrounding private game farms were removed allowing the animals to roam freely between them. This area is called Greater Kruger. All together the Kruger area spans around 24000 square kilometres.

Day 6

Hazyview – Kruger National Park

An early morning rise sees us boarding our specialised 4×4 open safari vehicle for our full day adventure into the Kruger National Park. With Over 500 species of birds and 148 species of mammals including the Big 5, you are in for an unforgettable safari.

Day 7

Kruger National Park – Johannesburg

Today we bid farewell to the Kruger and head towards the metropolis of Johannesburg. Our tour comes to and end this evening and we advise you to book accommodation for this night in Joburg.
