ZAMBIA

Zambia is not only one of Africa’s fastest growing economies, and safest countries on the continent, but also a place that any avid overland traveller just has to experience. With exciting adventure activities and budget tours, Zambia has a little something for everyone.

Victoria Falls

One of the seven natural wonders of the world, this mighty waterfall cannot be missed. Sitting on the border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, the falls are around 100 meters high and about one kilometre wide. Statistically it is the largest waterfall in the world as the width and height together form the largest single sheet of flowing water. The falls offer a variety of adrenaline activities, such as Bungy jumping, bridge swings, white water rafting, scenic helicopter flights, and scenic hikes. For the very brave you can take a swim out to Devils Pool, a small rock formation on the edge of the actual falls themselves, and take a look over the edge. You might have already been to the falls on the Zimbabwe side of the border, but don’t worry, seeing Victoria falls from the Zambian side is almost like a completely new experience.

South Luangwa National Park

Zambia’s premier wildlife park, the south Luangwa National park is known as one of the best wildlife sanctuaries in the world. Thought to be the origin of the “walking Safari”, you have the option to experience this wilderness on foot. Not only will you come across an array of animals, but also be taken in by exotic wildflowers and lush vegetation.

With all the adventure tours and cheap safaris that Zambia has to offer, you will never feel disappointed after a visit to this fast growing country. Below you will find all our overland tours and budget safaris going through Zambia.
