Camps Bay beachfront epitomises beach fun in Cape Town! With itās palm-fringed promenade and road-side cafes it is definitely one of the most happening summer spots! The beach vendors have come out in force now that summer is here and you can rent your lounger, eat your ice cream and even have a massage!
3. Our front entrance garden is blooming at Ashanti Gardens!
Just look at those beautiful flowers in the front of Ashanti lodge. We also have our herbs for you backpackers using the communal kitchen.
4. The Galileo Open Air Cinema opens for the season
What a great concept- just like the drive-ins of old, yet better! The Open Air cinema is held at various venues throughout Cape Town most days except Mondays and Sundays. 5. Kirstenbosch Summer Concert season begins
Another Cape Town Summer tradition that just cannot be missed, the Kirstenbosch Summer Concerts are fabulous and feature a variety of local acts with music genre ranging from pop to classical. Take a picnic basket and a blanket and sit back and relax or head up to the front for a little boogie! We suggest that you backpackers in Cape Town book early as they get sold out fast!
6. Table Mountain sunset specials!
Experience an beatifull African sunset from the top of the Table Mountain and donāt forget to bring your camera to capture this beautiful moment. Most backpackers climb the mountain and get the cablecar down! From November 1 to December 18 and from January 4 until February 29 return tickets are half price after 6pm!
