Tourism Community Development Trust

Ashanti is a founding member of the Tourism Community Development Trust and Lisa (one of the Ashanti founders) is a trustee on the board.  It has been operational since 2005 and has assisted in many projects in the greater Cape Town community.   We founded the trust because we found that so many of our guests wanted to make a difference and didn’t know who and where to contribute.  We are a conduit for tourists and tourism-related businesses to meaningfully assist in the betterment of many people’s lives.   The trust chooses sustainable projects and believe in the “hand-up, not hand-out” philosophy.  All our projects are sustainable and continue without our assistance once they have been set up.  We still visit them all and often arrange outings to them.
