Cape Point With a Difference
There are a lot of tours available that Show you the most important parts of Cape Town and the peninsula, but none do it quite like this tour. To start this day you will be picked up from your accommodation and head straight to the colorful houses of Bo Kaap. We will follow this with a visit to the cute penguins at a Boulders beach. From here the drive to Cape point isn’t too long. This is where we will enjoy a South African lunch. After lunch, we will taste wine with more beautiful backdrops. To get back to Cape Town we drive over the famous Chapmans Peak Drive. This route gives you stunning vistas over the Hout Bay Harbor. Chapmans Peak will also be our last stop, here we enjoy one more breathtaking panorama.
After pick up from your accommodation (in and around Cape Town Central CBD, between 8:00 and 9:00am) our day starts in the historic Bo Kaap where you get to experience the Rainbow Nation at its finest, beautiful colourful houses and local Malay flavours.
From here we head to Boulders Beach to visit some penguin friends in Simons Town
Our early picnic lunch inside the Cape of Good Hope is influenced by our ancestors and full of South African flavours. Enjoyed on a beautiful lawn with an option for a beach walk or swim in a tidal pool (weather dependent)
Keep yours eyes peeled for free roaming animals and the unique Fynbos at the Cape of Good Hope, where after lunch we hike up to the old lighthouse before taking a leisurely coastal stroll past Dias Beach, to Cape Point.
To wind down after all that physical activity, we then head off to taste some of South Africa’s finest wine with a killer view of Noordhoeks Long Beach.
Once you are a little pickled and sitting next to a new friend it is time to enjoy the majestic and breathtaking views of Chapmans Peak drive and a view of Hout Bay Harbour (subject to road closures)
The last stop of the day is our most favourite view of Camps Bay and the 12 Apostles. And then back to your accommodation before we all have a cry about the fact that the best day has just come to an end
MAKE SURE TO BRING
We are not fond of rules but here are a few guidelines to make sure you get to make the best out of your day:
• Please wear comfortable walking shoes
• Bring a hat & sunscreen (spf30+), the African sun is serious!
• Bring a refillable water bottle. It helps the environment and drinking water in South Africa is safe to drink when taken from taps in urban areas.
• Pack a swimming costume and towel so you can dry off after lunch if you decide to have a swim.
• Pack something warm, the weather in Cape Town can change quickly
