Can we ever get enough of wine tasting?

The Hedelberg is a wine-producing area in the Western Cape which consists of Somerset West, Strand, Gordon’s Bay, Lwandle, Macassar and Sir Lowry’s Pass. It’s no secret that Capetonians love their wines and wine tasting is one of the best activities in Cape Town! Each year, wine farmers gather to make us discover their latest wines. This sip-and-snack event returns this week for an evening of delight and is definitely another must for wine enthusiasts and food lovers!

The event will take place in The Lord Charles Hotel in Somerset West from 5pm until 9pm. Participants will have the chance to taste over 100 wines from the finest wineries such as Avontuur, Hidden Valley, Longridge, Vergenoegd to name only a few.

If you feel a bit peckish, chefs and artisanal producers will make sure you don’t starve and it will also be possible to buy some dishes from a couple of restaurants.

The ticket for the event costs R100 which entitles you to a branded wine glass and to taste all the wines on display. Tickets can be booked online here and remaining tickets will be sold at the door!

Live musicians will be performing to make you dance the evening away!
