1. Go on a safari in the famous Kruger National Park.

3. Surfing in Jeffreyā€™s Bay

For one of the best surf waves in the world you absolutely must come to South Africa. CNN has named Supertubes, Jeffreyā€™s Bay in South Africa as the second best surf spot in the world. Not surprising that many surfers from all over the world come to South Africa and especially Jeffreyā€™s Bay to catch a wave. Beside the good waves for surfing, you will find a lot of good restaurants, white sand beaches, and a perfect vibe.

4. Bungee jumping

Totally not afraid of heights and ready to get an adrenaline rush? Then the worldā€™s highest bungee jump found on the Garden Route is the perfect thing for you! The Bloukrans bridge, in Tsitsikamma, is 216 meters high and hangs above the Bloukrans River. bungee jumping isnā€™t quite your thing? Then you can go to Tsitsikamma National Park where you can enjoy beautiful forests and a breathtaking coastline or you can go to the Tsitsikamma Canopy tour which takes place in the forest in Tsitsikamma.

5. Shark cage diving in Gansbaai

Would you dare see eye to eye with a Great White Shark? There are a few companies in Gansbaai, False Bay and Mosselbaai where you can swim with sharks while you are in a cage.  The winter season (February to September) is the best time of the year to go shark cage diving.  During summer, the chance that you will see a Great White Shark is not so big.

6. Seal snorkeling

A highly recommended activity during your trip in South Africa is seal snorkeling In Hout Bay, Cape Town, you will find between 5,000 and 10,000 Cape Fur seals. The Cape fur seals are also called the puppies of the sea and are completely harmless and therefore perfect for snorkeling. They are very curious and will swim to you to have a look at who you are. It is a once in a lifetime experience that you wouldnā€™t want to miss out on.
