The parks vegetation is dense with thick woodlands, rivers, marshes and grasslands in different areas.

Along the Chobe River bed you can often view giraffe, buffalos, sable and antelope, while in the marsh lands crocodiles, hippos, African wild dogs, lions and leopards are regularly seen.

Activities in the impressive game park consist of going on a well-known Chobe safari game drive, fishing excursions, sunset cruises and water safaris along the great Chobe River and guided bush walks to get up close and personal with African nature at its best. Village tours are also popular amongst travellers seeking insight of the local people from the area, this is accessed via a Mokoro canoe to the western side of the river bank and is a unique experience worth trying out.
