The climate is mostly hot and humid for the duration of the year with regular rainfall, so packing light clothes with a suitable rain jacket is advisable when travelling around the city.

The metropolis has many festive bars and nightclubs with live bands and inexpensive local beers on offer. There are also loads of trendy restaurants to eat at with local and international foods. It is one of Africa’s greenest cities boasting an impressive amount of golf courses, gardens and public parks. Kampala is relatively safe as well, so if you’re travelling alone that won’t be a problem.
