Just a quick little clip of the dolphins #dekelders

Posted by Lloyd Koppel on Friday, 9 June 2017

These dolphins were spotted near De Kelders, a small coastal village between Gansbaai and Hermanus. Gansbaai is a popular tourist destination, known for its dense population of great white sharks. Thousands of people visit this town every year to jump in a cage and dive with these amazing creatures. It is said that shark cage diving is one of the main tourist attractions of South Africa.

Hermanus is famous for the southern right whale and is an excelent place for whale watching. During the winter and spring (June-November) whales can be seen from the cliffs in the center of the small town. Hermanus is the only town in the world that has a Whale Crier; he or she sounds the kelp horn to announce when there are whales spotted.

The video was made by Gansbaai local Lloyd Koppel. A lucky man, with the ocean as his backyard.
