CAPE TOWN IN WINTER!
One of the most common questions we get asked at this time of year is …. What can I do today? We have started compiling a document to leave at the reception desk at Ashanti Gardens and Green Point backpackers so that we can have a ready answer, but there really is a myriad of places to visit. The most obvious and popular choices of course are the various museums (http://www.iziko.org.za/) and the Two Oceans Aquarium at the V&A Waterfront (www.aquarium.co.za). There are also wonderful markets worth visiting and often have live entertainment. Check out these websites for a little taster of what you can expect:

Or alternatively if you have done a lot of touristy things and just want to stay put, then mosy upstairs to the Kumasi Café at Ashanti Gardens Backpackers, settle in with a burger and chips and watch Wimbledon on the big screen.
